This endeavor started because of a necessity for delivering very valuable books to 5/6 individuals. An author and artisan bookbinder could not afford to have over a year's worth of work and expense lost by some error or other reason and because of the historical circumstances surrounding the subject matter of the books, he decided to have them specially delivered by those whom he trusted.

Having spent nearly 30 years in the logistics field as a motorcycle and bicycle courier in England and as a bicycle and van courier in Toronto, Canada, I have known packages to not get delivered properly or on time.

In London, England, for example, an important and valuable set of architectural drawings for an architectural competition in Dubai arrived late because a courier company gave the job to a courier who needed to be elsewhere at a certain time. The courier company knew about his need to be elsewhere as he had told them the day before and also at the beginning of his day, but they gave him the job of delivering the drawings to a shipper at Heathrow Airport anyway.

He subsequently had difficulties in finding the address and so went to a cabby's office (non-standard, unlicensed taxi drivers in London back in the 1980s) and gave the package of valuable drawings over to them to deliver.

Their driver also ended up having trouble delivering the drawings on time to the shipper and instead of being sent that day by air, they were sent the next day. Because of this delay the drawings arrived 24 hrs after the deadline for the competition had closed.

The amount that the architectural company had invested in this project was over £1 million. Needless to say, they lost their entire investment of time and money.

I have also seen how unfairly those who do the hard work, of picking up and delivering packages, get paid. In the UK its around 40% of the cost that the client gets billed. In Canada its a little better at around 60%. The end result is that you have unhappy riders/couriers who have no pride in what they do, don't handle their packages with care and who many times put their lives at risk for little reward.

I hope that by starting this endeavor those who need a professional service in the courier world can rely on us, and our private couriers, to do a sterling job.
